Mobil Full Synthetic in 0W-20 and 5W-30 will be receiving GM Dexos1 approvals. With the current COVID-19 situation, approvals are slow coming as the testing labs are not considered "essential." So it appears Dexos 1 approval is just delayed due to the backlog at testing/certification labs.
General Motors recommends the use of dexos™ approved engine oils for global factory and service fill in spark ignited and diesel engines. Importantly, the number of brands with dexos approved licenses varies over time. The list of Licensed dexos® brands is updated quarterly, with the most recent update on December 16, 2020.
The 0w-20 product data sheet states it was updated on the 6-2013 does't mention it is Dexos1 approved. Neither is the 0w-30 Dexos1 approved. Reading the product data sheet Mobil 1 5w-20 Extended Performance is Dexos1 approved.
O.k. I'm ready to change the oil, the cruze is got 2000 km ( 1600 miles ). I know it's pre-mature, but I always remove factory oil within 2000 km, and go with the OLM after that, using synthetic oil. The problem I'm facing is, I can't find new stock of mobil1 with the dexos approved label on. I
